Bël Lähoon Act 1 Cloudia is an exploration of a seemingly innocent childhood memory.

A moment in time is reframed as a outer view on potential, restraint, & release. In this collection, the balloon is symbolic of our awareness of our limitations to our limitless potential. There are external forces shaped by rules, love, and protection.

Cloudia explores the perspectives shift between the balloon and it's external attachment to it's holder. From the balloon’s view, stillness feels like limitation: its buoyancy muted, its purpose delayed, its momentum suspended by someone else’s hand. Yet it also understands that the hand restraining it does not mean harm. It is simply bound by what it has been taught. From the child’s perspective, the balloon represents imagination and possibility, something powerful yet fragile, something that might be lost if released too soon.

The collection explores acceptance rather than resistance, acknowledging that many of the forces holding us back are not malicious, but inherited, learned, or meant to protect us.
